Απευθείας απονομή των Όσκαρ από τον Λευκό Οίκο!
Κυριολεκτικά όμως και όχι μόνο μεταφορικά. Ενώ στη σκηνή βρισκόταν ο Τζακ Νίκολσον ξαφνικά έγινε ζωντανή μετάδοση με τον…Λευκό Οίκο όπου η πρώτη κυρία Μισέλ Ομπάμα έκανε κήρυγμα για το ρόλο της τέχνης στη ζωή μας. Στη συνέχεια ο φάκελος πήγε στην κυρία του Προέδρου όπου και απέμεινε το βραβείο καλύτερη ταινίας στην επιχείρηση Argo! Αρχική ιδέα πρέπει να ήταν να ανακοινωθεί το Όσκαρ Καλύτερης Ταινίας από το Πεντάγωνο αλλά μετά αποφάσισαν λιγότερο κράτος! Η επιχείρηση Argo n νίκησε την επιχείρηση σύλληψης του Μπιν Λάντεν.
Μην ξεχνάμε ότι φέτος για πρώτη φορά η κυβέρνηση των ΗΠΑ όχι μόνο βράβευσε την καλύτερη ταινία αλλά πήρε σαφή θέση υπερ της συγκεκριμένης ταινίας:
Η κυβέρνηση των ΗΠΑ ή τουλάχιστον το Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ, μέσα από το twitter ευχήθηκε καλή τύχη στην ταινία «Argo» του Μπεν Άφλεκ, στην κούρσα για τα Όσκαρ. Συγκεκριμένα, το tweet του επίσημου λογαριασμού του Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ, αναφέρει: Καλή τύχη στον @BenAffleck και το #Argo. Ωραίο να βλέπεις τo @StateDept & την Διεθνή Υπηρεσία μας στη μεγάλη οθόνη»..
